Queen of the Lake!

000042_1Back in December 2012, I travelled with some friends up to Udon Thani, and our destination was Nong Harn Lake, Kumphawapi District, the place renowned for the festival of Blooming Red Lotus. We spent the night at the homestay nearby, and the next morning, we embarked on a boat ride through the lake. Arriving in the middle of the lake, it’s all WOW when the lake was filled with the beautiful, gorgeous red lotuses, just about everywhere, making a perfect breathtaking scene, indeed. Every single flower happened to wake up early to the morning sun, strong and pretty. Then I was like, ‘WOW, Thailand really is amazing! Truly it is!” It is just so amazing how nature can create such a wonderful thing like all these flowers. Anyway, the blooming season is between December and February, and the best time to visit is only morning hours from 06:00 to 08:00. One of the best ‘wow’ experiences in Thailand that you should not miss!

(This is my first photograph that got published in the magazine “Lonely Planet Thailand”, in the section of Postcard.)
